I am new to the forum, my name is Leigh and I was diagnosed on 10/9/12 with TNBC, tumor approx 4.4cm, began Chemo in November. Dose dense A/C followed by Taxol.  CT revealed 2 hot nodes, but could not find them on ultrasound to biopsy. Bilateral mastectomy on 3/22/13, with tissue expanders in place.  Dead cancer cells found in 1 node, pathology revealed complete response  Clap.   Begin radiation on 6/10/13 at MD Anderson.  It's been a trip but have kept a positive attitude through it all, relying on prayer and strength to get me through!

I look forward to meeting everyone :)

Hi, NurseLeigh,
Welcome to the forum, although I am sure it is a group you really did not wish to join.  With chemo and surgery behind you, there is a light at the end of the tunnel.  Complete pathological response is definitely worth celebrating, as is being treated at M.D. Anderson.  I think you will find radiation much easier than what you have already been through.  Best wishes as you complete your treatment.

Congrats on the success of your treatment journey thus far.  Welcome to the club of the toughest gals around.  I have one taxol left on June 7th and my surgery consult is June 4 for the bilateral.  I will see you on here and look forward to hearing your experiences with the expanders and your radiation.  Blessings Leigh.
