Good Morning fellow members!

I participate in another forum about cancer and have been a member there before I found this site,  It is Yahoo Answers in the cancer category, my handle there is Dave.

I contribute what I can about our experience with breast cancer and answer general questions about the disease, it is not as personal as this one and there are some questions that a lot of teenagers have about the possibility of them having breast cancer.  There are some top contributors to that site which makes it great.  There is one retired oncologist called, "Spreedog" he is a top contributor in the Cancer category.

I invited him to check out this site and to become a member, if he does we will have a great contributor here, if he does not then I understand it because he is now a history professor at a college.

But what I am wondering is are we trying to get new members here?  I have this on my facebook account to try and promote this site.  

That is all, I hope Spreedog joins us, and wishing you all well.

Dear Dave,

Any organization - for profit or no-profit - should always be actively trying to increase its membership if it has to survive and grow in this competitive world. That said, I do not know if TNBC Foundation is actively seeking members. If Spreedog joins thats great.

Any new members, especially ones with experience in the medical field are always welcomed.  The more information we have, the better.  Promoting this website and forum is helpful getting the word out.

Since so many of us visit different forums I hope they are sharing this forum for TNBC women.
 
When this forum first appeared I tried my best to spread the word but should continue to work harder at it.
 
Some women/men get comfortable in one spot or the other but I'm sure they read some of the other breast cancer forums.  The sad thing is is that new members are always coming thru so it's important to let them know.
 
Would love to become friends on FB.  PM me if you would like and let me know how to reach you.  Several women here are in FB and we enjoy the contact and sharing of pictures, talking about other things besides cancer.Smile

Yes, please do, although I am very rarely on it because a lot of my co-workers are there and some supervisors scan it too, in fact somebody got in trouble for saying that they hated their job.  I then found out the general manager is on face book too, so I seldom go anymore.

By the way I guess Spreedog is to busy, he did not reply to my offer and he had posted on the forum since I asked, so I take it that he has not got the time or desire to help another forum out.  If anyone wants to ask him a question on Yahoo Answers  just go to the cancer section and ask, he usually answers them and has a 65% rate of great answers which is dang good, my average is like 30%.

Unfortunately, we don't have to do much 'recruiting' here.  Women keep getting diagnosed with TNBC, and a subset of those who have been treated recur, so sadly we have a ready mechanism to keep membership up.    Those of us who live long enough and don't completely drop back into civilian life become experts.   Recruitment at all levels is all too automatic.
