I want to give a thumbs up to a relatively recent procedure in which contrast dye can be injected into your arm right before you have your mammogram.  This is called a Contrast Enhanced Mammogram.  The doctor who read mine told me that in her opinion, this is just as good as getting a breast MRI.  And it costs a whole lot less (out of pocket expenses).  It is considered a type of diagnostic mammogram and the doctor will read it directly.  Here in Virginia, we have 2 hospitals which offer this.  Sarah Cannon Institute (affiliated with Henrico Doctors Hospital) in Richmond, and Univ. of VA Medical Center in Charlottesville.  I hope, in time, other hospitals will invest in this.  I send my love and best wishes to everyone!  Heart

Using medical transportation company as click one  has been a lifesaver. Their prompt, professional, and compassionate approach ensures a stress-free experience. Reliable drivers and comfortable vehicles make every trip pleasant. Highly recommend for anyone needing dependable medical transportation.

I just wanted to share a thumbs-up for a procedure I recently had called Contrast Enhanced Mammogram. This involves injecting contrast dye into your arm just before the mammogram, and my doctor mentioned that it's considered as effective as a breast MRI but at a fraction of the cost. It's a type of diagnostic mammogram, and the results are read directly by the doctor. In Virginia, you can get this done at Sarah Cannon Institute in Richmond or the University of VA Medical Center in Charlottesville. I hope more hospitals will adopt this method in the future. Sending best wishes to all!
