I was wondering if anyone out there ever had any type of fertility treatments prior to the TN diagnosis. My wife and I used invitro fertility treatments with both of our daughters. The first time was approx. 11 years ago the second was approx. 6 year ago. Her oncologist told us there are no studies proving that fertility drugs can cause any breast cancer. (She is big on studies). But if women who receive hormones for menopause are more likely to get breast cancer then why not the women who recieve hormones for fertility. I think the pharma companys are covering something up. She was first diagnosed 11/07 w/2cm mass, node neg. She now, in 18 short and grueling months, has multiple matastic tumors in her liver, sleen, abdomen, and bones. Multiple chemo treatments/drugs have proven ineffective. Nothing can help her now. We now on home hospice and my girls and I are devistated. I may be reaching in the dark but please, I need to know how many women with TN had any kind of fertility drugs. Thank you.

Hi, MJ'sman.   I just want to tell you how sorry I am about your wife.  What a horrible thing you are going through, and how awful for your daughter.  I did not have fertility treatments, and though I haven't looked into it, would guess that because TNBC isn't estrogen fueled, it likely isn't caused by fertility drugs.  But who knows - we live in a toxic soup, and fertility treatments might just be one more poison in the brew.   In any case, feel free to post here whenever you like about your experience.  We have plenty of love and support to offer you.
Much love,
Denise

Dear MJ's man,

My heart goes out to you, your wife and your daughters. There are probably not words to console you and your family at this time, but please know that I can feel your pain.

I have the same feelings as you in regards to the studies, as many are flawed, and many are funded by the pharmaceuticals, so one really must question their validity. In fact, Connie from Canada had sent me an article as to this.

I heard from one woman who has spoken to and/or interviewed many doctors, who were saying that TNBC is BC+ "turned". The invitro treatments are man made drugs, so one does have to question as to whether they can cause cancer. The synthetic hormones which women receive for menopause and for birth control are causing cancer, and why they are still being prescribed is something which I question.

As Denise also said, we live in a toxin environment and all these fertility treatments, synthetic menopausal hormone treatments and birth control also are just more poisons in the brew.

Much love to you and please know that we are here for you every day.

I'm so sorry for what you, your wife and family are going through.
I did have infertility treatments in the late 80's.  I did not get as far as in vitro but was on pergonol to stimulate egg growth.

I often wondered about  the effect of infertility drugs as well as the birth control pills I was on my whole young adult life and thier roll in this situation.

On the other hand, we also had infertility defficiencies that lead us to the fertility specialists to begin with so maybe that could be part of the problem as well.

It is very frusturating not knowing what causes this.  You just have know idea what to alter in your life to help yourself fight this disease.
