Does anyone know of anyone who's had the breast injections using their own body fat?  I read about it in a magazine and a little online.  I just finished treatments, my last radiation treatment was today Big%20smile!!  I went from a C cup to about an A cup.  I'm ok with the way it looks but still might consider augmentation and wanted some information on the breast injections.

Hi,

I would love to know about breast injections.  I had the trans flap surgery and had a matched set until radiation.  The radiation cooked my trans flap breast and it ended up a with the bottom a hard lump of cooked fat.  Now I have one breast a B and the other a double A.  I'm at a loss of what to do about it and am just wearing padded bras.

If one has this done before radiation don't the docs tell you this could happen?  I've not had this type of surgery but this seems so out of line really.  If they can not withstand radiation then shouldn't women possibly have this done after rads??

After paying for this special surgery only to have it ruined by rads seems horribly wrong but I certainly don't know all the facts.

don't know gals.  I was told over n over that rads are not necessary for TNBC.
I'm on Doxil now which is wonderful!  No side effects...shrinking tumor (s) which returned on the surgical site and just below the skin.  They want to do a litisimus dorsi flap...ouch!  but i'm not thinking about that until it all shrinks...I could do this for a while if necessary!
Oh, they did say I'd lose my hair AGAIN.  Uggh!  Being single and having breast cancer to me is quite a bummer...but the men around me are all over me!  Whats with that?  I'm certainly not a victim...or desperate...right now I just don't care to be in a relationship, I love my friends and don't need approval...although I did gain 50 olb with the steroids! I use my friends as mirrors!
I did hear about breast injections of fat from 'other' parts of your body to build breast tissue! i have a couplel of good friends who are Park Ave plastic surgeons... I'm in NY so maybe it is just not everywhere.  Personally, I love to show cleavage but don't really care what happens as long as the cancer is dissolved.
Moving again!  Uggh...If I have to move again I shall completely fall apart!  I've no family...orphin and if it were not for my friends...I'm not certain about recovering mentally. I've moved 3 times in 2 yrs!
I want to wish all Happy Holidays...and a safe one.
