Has anyone had Breast-Specific Gamma Imaging (BSGI)?  It is an imaging technique used as an aid in diagnosis when a mammogram is inconclusive.  It reveals information that can help your doctor more accurately determine if an area of concern is cancerous or not.

I am in the final week of radiation. Sleepy  In one month I will be having a diagnostic mammogram.  It will have been one year since my original diagnosis of invasive metaplastic carcinoma/matrix producing.  I'm wondering if the BSGI would be useful for tnbc followups.

What do you know?

Still hoping I'll get a reply to the topic of Breast-Specific Gamma Imaging.  I see my rad/onc this week and would like to know if anyone else has had this type of diagnosis on a follow-up?

Carol, I am so sorry that you did not get an answer on BSGI when you needed it! Hope things went well and please keep us updated.
Studies show that BSGI can be used in followups to evaluate the progress of a particular treatment. Please submit any questions at Dilon's facebook account. We have a few members that could help on questions regarding BSGI. Go to  http://www.facebook.com/Save.The.Ladies - http://www.facebook.com/Save.The.Ladies
