Hello everybody,
My name is Yvonne and I was diagnosed with Triple-Negative Breast Cancer on Jan. 19, 2018. This diagnose has been very stressful and depressing to me, but I must say that I have a very supporting and strong family as well as friends.

Welcome Yvonne! In the beginning was very stressful to me to. Everybody was talking 'medical eese' to me and it was a foreign language that made understanding things even harder. My friends helped me tremendously so I'm very glad to hear you have a supporting family and friends.

Someone always went with me to appointments and sometimes they took a recorder so we could play it back when we couldn't remember what was said. Someone else suggested I get a 3 ring binder and start collecting copies of all the tests and scans that I was getting with the results so I could get familiar with wording.

If you have any questions, any worries that you need to share, please let us help you. So many kind and intelligent women here helped me and the best way to say thank you to them is to pay it forward.
Best,
Mainy

Hi Yvonneka,

I'd say the worst part of the journey is from the time of diagnosis until you start treatment/surgery.  You are going through the hardest part and it's normal to have your emotions all over the board.  It's good to cry, grieve, feel sad.  Having a strong support group will help you immensely.  Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

Donna

Hello Yvonne,

I am sorry to hear about your diagnosis.  I am also in Georgia.  Where are you getting treatments?  Sending you strength to get through this.  Best, Clifford1
