Hello everyone. I have been looking at threads since diagnosed in Oct 2015. I think I am a bit unique. Right side triple negative IDC. Left side ER/PR positive ILC. Had neoadjuvant dose dense AC then Taxol 4 treatments every two weeks for 4 months. Bilateral mastectomy with TE's March 2016. Followed by 28 Rad treatments. Now doing arimedex and Xeloda to prevent mets. Both cancers stage 1 with micro mets in right side discovered in sentinel at surgery.
I am curious about how many of you have been treated for 2 different types of breast cancer in each breast. I am BRCA negative but family history 2 half sisters on paternal side.
Hoping to hear positive outcomes from others who have been treated for 2 different types of breast cancer. Triple Negative trumps the other so that is the primary focus for treatment.

Libber,

They are finding with family history, but BRCA negative, there could be other genes responsible for breast cancer.  This link shows the different genetic mutations that could be tested by cancer type.  The test is simple and not as costly as some tests in the past.  You might want to talk to your oncologist about getting tested.

DX IDC TNBC 6/09 age 49, Stage 1,Grade 3, 1.5cm,0/5Nodes,KI-67 48%,BRCA-,6/09bi-mx, recon, T/C X4(9/09)

This does sound somewhat similar Gordon15. Often I feel like somewhat of an anomaly having two differenct types and two different hormone statuses in each breast. I guess I can be thankful bith were found instead of detecting the second smalller one years later. I've been able to tackle treatment for both at the same time. I am scheduled for 2nd part of recon Dec 13. TE's to Silicone. Taking a break from Xeloda until after surgery. Then will finish with 3 more treatments starting first of January. Then thank goodness will be finished with treatment except ongoing AI inhibitor very soon.
