I know there is alot of controversy/opinion between Oncologists about cancer spread once you penetrate a tumor. SNB & NB generally make a single hole, while the mammotome makes several, depending on tumor size, and takes several samples. With each different type, if at all, did mets occur beyond the axillary nodes, and to where, how long after your original surgery, as well as type of surgury, double mast, single breast removed, or lumpectomy.
Any other thoughts/opinions on this are welcome.

There are allegations about biopsy needles that indicates the procedure may have more than incidental risk. It would be risky is it is done the wrong way. A lot of successful tests have been done so I believe this procedure is still safe according to the Swiss team reported in the journal Breast Cancer Research.
I had the needle core biopsy also when I was first diagnosed and then sentinol node when I had my double mastectomy last year. Nodes were clear. I had had chemo before and after surgery.
