I had a conversation last night with a friend whose wife went to the Cancer Treatment Center of America a long time ago....1998. She had breast cancer. He was very impressed with the work they did. Does anyone know about these places?
I have heard nothing good about them. They are no better than your local hospital and worse from what I hear than a regional NIH Cancer Center. Here in Florida we have Moffitt Cancer Center so no reason to go to CTCA,
ER+ misdiagnosed 09, was ER+/TNBC,lumpectomy, C/T, rads, AI. TNBC in node 4/14, in neoadjuvant A/C then carbo/gemzar, complete path response. double mastectomy.
Lizzie, thank you for sharing. Can you tell me what was not good about them? I am NED and hoping to stay that way for a long time. Hoping I never need to look at alternatives to my local doctor, but my friend spoke so highly of them. If you want to private message me instead of posting on this forum, that is fine too.
