Ugh, so sad to lose her.  I hope there is some sort of afterlife, and that in it Caryn is restored to health, soaring high above the earth with beauty and wind and a deep vision into all things big and small rushing through her.  (Like my dream about death).   Soar on, Caryn.  You savored every last drop of life and taught us do the same, at least some of the time.   By example you taught us to tell the truth, even when it hurts, and to hold on to that humor, even when it seems that there is nothing to laugh about.  I admired the heck out of you, and will try my best to follow your example of living life to the fullest even in the face of adversity.
love,
Denise

I wish I would have known her.  I followed her journey, and am sad that it has ended.  What a very classy lady she was.

To all her TBNC friends, and to her family, I am very sorry for your loss.

May she now rest in peace...

Caryn Rose, your spirit will continue to live in each and every one of us.  You have impacted the lives of so many, many people.

When we are placid in our disease, we will enjoy our lives, as you taught us.  When we may be faced with problems and much fear, we will fight, as you taught us.  Through the beacon that was your light, you will continue to teach us.

There is a bright new star in the sky from this time forward.

Steve and family, may love surround you all, always.

God Bless you Caryn, Steve and your loved ones.  I do not post much anymore but have followed every step of Caryn's journey and like everyone else here I dreaded this day and feel profoundly  sad that such an amazing person has been lost so young--and that she had to endure so much in the final years of her life.  I know I could never have faced Caryn's circumstances with the strength, candor and unselfishness she showed.

At some point last summer, I stumbled across Caryn Rose's thread and read every entry that morning.  I believe it started with her discovery that the cancer had spread and continued through to a time where her daily sufferring was apparent.  Her courage, strength, and humor was evident as she faced this terrible disease.  She was such a force, and she impacted so many.  Her time here has ended, but she lives in the hearts of so many.

God Bless all of you.

Thank you Lord for your mercy upon Caryn Rose, her Mother, Steve, Steven & all her Family!

Family ties have certainly been predominant in this journey back to You Lord!
How to live, love, enjoy, show compassion, have empathy, find the humour in everything and friendship has been so visible in this journey from the first moment until the last breath was taken by Caryn Rose.  I hope that others will learn that when a commitment is made to each other, there is nothing that can break that commitment.  NOT even death....

The life we were blessed to be a part of has left this world, but Caryn Rose's memory will live on in the lives of the many people she has touched right here at this foundation as well as in her daily life.  My deepest sympathy goes out to all of you, through my tears for the loss you are feeling right now.

Dear Denise,

I stayed in bed till 3 p.m.

Heard from my friend in Rome that the Hospice nurse told him to longer sleep in his wife's room as she is in a deep coma and non-responsive. He told me how, a few days ago, even though she was so ill, when her little one year old granddaughter visited her she was so very, very happy.

That combined with Caryn really put me in a very dark funk.

I, too, have been expecting this but I find the sadness just washing over me.

Caryn was a very, very special woman..

Denise, you are not alone, dear friend...

love,

Steve

You are not alone, Denise, not at all.  Caryn was such a fighter and had conquered so much along the way, so many of us just never imagined that she'd really lose the battle.  It smacks us all in the face with just how vulnerable we all are to this damn disease.  It rules our lives, it rolls our dice - I hate it with a passion.  I thank my higher power, whatever or whoever that may be, it's been tested sorely lately - that we all have each other to hold on to.

Hugs,
Linda

Yes, my heart is so saddened by the loss of Caryn Rose too! There are too many of our sisters loosing this battle after such a short time of being "clear" ......

As we read their journeys to the last breath makes this disease so REAL & FINAL but it is our faith that keeps us standing. The knowing we will all be together one day makes the loss almost bearable.

Each step we take, we wonder when it will be our turn, each time someone else has recurrence we rally around and pray for mercy and remission in all these treatments.  Diane is receiving her treatments and reading Craig's posts keeps us close knowing how hard they are still fighting to stay with their loved ones even if the treatments are just prolonging the enevitable...

Our connection to this earth is obsessive because we don't remember where we came from.  We are all going to leave one by one and how we share our journey, the difference we make in just one someone's life is the reason we are here! Caryn Rose, Diane, Steve (k), Donna, Denise, Carol, Lillie, EACH AND EVERY PERSON ON THIS FOUNDATION MAKES A DIFFERENCE IN EACH OTHERS LIVES and that is what this life is all about!  We give, we share, we love, we receive, we work, we dream, we live, we die.  That is life here on earth as we know it and the ones who are making a difference in this world by getting their story out to others, by travelling all over the world to be with people they love and sometimes for people they don't know, that is what we must do for everyone and when everyone feels the love and connection, then we will all be together forever in glory and wisdom of our Lord God.

Caryn Rose gave herself to everyone here and in her immediate family, friends and work mates.  She led the way as a model for us.  Steve her husband, Steve her brother & his wife, and her Mother showed compassion, love and commitment to their love relationship for their wife, sister, daughter and friend.  What a wonderful way to remember a wonderful, loving person.  I thank the Lord for allowing me to be a part of this her journey with triple negative breast cancer.

Steve (k) & Donna, you are not alone in your sadness. Blessings are being sent to you for the  Spirit of the Lord to enkindle in your heart the Holy Spirit that will help you with the loss of dear Caryn Rose.

"Be still and know that I am God" and "If God brings you to it, God will bring you through it."
Hugs, h
